Project Overview

Schaduf partnered with 7Up to implement Ezbet El-Nasr 2, one of the early rooftop farming initiatives in Cairo and Egypt.
The project aimed to support local families by providing rooftop farming systems that enable the cultivation of leafy vegetables and create additional income opportunities. Schaduf was responsible for project implementation and technical training to ensure effective operation of the farms.

Project Results:

• 60 families supported (approximately 240 individuals)
• 25 rooftop farms implemented
• 90 planting units in total
• Total cultivated area: 340 sqm
• Total production: 11,220 cups
• Training delivered to 86 participants
