Project Overview:

In partnership with the Banati Foundation, Schaduf launched one of Cairo’s first rooftop farming initiatives for girls. The project aimed to empower 50 girls to grow leafy vegetables, increase their income, and gain hands-on agricultural experience. Schaduf provided the rooftop farms and training to ensure practical learning and sustainable results.

Project Results:

• 50 girls supported
• 2 rooftop farms established, each with 2 planting units
• Total cultivated area: 4 sqm
• Total production: 630 cups
• Training delivered to 27 individuals
