Project Overview:

In collaboration with the International Organization for Migration and funded by the people of Japan, Schaduf launched Phase 2 of this pioneering rooftop farming initiative. The project supports immigrants in integrating into Egyptian society by providing rooftop farms for cultivating leafy vegetables and increasing household income. It also includes training for farmers to ensure sustainable and effective farm management.

Project Results:

• 16 rooftop farms established for 64 individuals
• Each farm equipped with 16 planting units, covering 400 sqm
• Total production: 12,800 cups
• Enhanced social and economic impact through skill development and income generation
